Erick was born in Guatemala City from where he was taken to Jutiapa, Guatemala, right after his parents' separation when he was only seven moths old. After his parents separation he was raised by his paternal grandparents in a very humble home outside the town of Asuncion Mita. He stayed with his grandparents until the age of nine when he moved back to Guatemala City to live with his father and stepmother. At the age of fifteen he moved to the United States to live with his uncle in Maryland. Now he resides in Los Angeles, California.
